Judy Miles, Executive Advisor, Legal & Investments, for KHP Capital Partners, L.P., will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award during the 12th annual ALIS Law conference on Sunday-Monday, January 25-26, 2026, in Los Angeles. This prestigious award is presented to an individual who has made significant strides and notable impacts in the legal field as it relates to the investment and development transaction processes and their post-deal implications.
Judy Miles is Executive Advisor, Legal & Investments, for KHP Capital Partners, L.P., a real estate private equity firm focused on investments in lifestyle and independent hotels. Judy transitioned to this strategic advisory role in January 2025, after having served as KHP’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel since the company’s founding in January 2015. In her role as KHP’s general counsel, Judy was responsible for the overall legal function of KHP Capital Partners and its investment funds, including investments, financings, dispositions, operational matters, risk management, intellectual property, and corporate administration. Prior to her time at KHP Capital Partners, Judy spent six years as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for Kimpton Hotels. Before her time at Kimpton, Judy spent 24 years in private practice as a commercial real estate/hospitality lawyer, advising hotel owners, operators, and lenders in a wide range of matters, including the development, management, acquisition, financing, and sale of hotels, resorts, fractional ownership properties, and branded residential properties. Judy holds an A.B. in human biology from Stanford University as well as a J.D. from Harvard Law School. She is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.
